Vestafjell Lodge, Sons of Norway, will be celebrating “Morsdag,” Norwegian
Mother’s Day, and Valentine’s Day with a Dessert and Goodies Auction at the February 12 meeting at 2 PM, at the
Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 3133 F Road, Grand Junction. Members, please provide a homemade item for the auction,
plan to buy a special treat for your ‘Sweetie,’ and bring a dish to share for the potluck meal. Guests are welcome. For information call Barb, 245-5649, or Bud, 242-3396,

of the Bible will be highlighted, including Daniel, Elijah, Gideon, Ruth, Ananias, and Zacchaeus.There will also be a noon service followed by soup each Wednesday
at ALC.

Book Club News:
February Book Club: We will be discussing Seeing Things by Patty Hill on February 6th; 7:00 p.m. at Fini Oharek’s
house; 3496 Pentamar Drive, Palisade, 464-7382.
March Book Club: We will be reading Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese. The meeting is scheduled for March 5th, 7:00 p.m. at Sheila
Hurd’s house; 1030 Gunnison Ave, 241-9339.
Movie and Spirituality: February 10th at 6:00p.m. We will have a potluck dinner
followed by the movie “Chocolat”. A single mother and her young daughter move into a peaceful French village and open a chocolate shop during the height
of Lent. At first, the shop's rich, sensuous desserts scandalize the town. But the villagers soon learn to savor the sweetness.

Mary Martha Bible Study: We will meet on Thursday, February 16, 7:00 p.m. at Ann Hampton’s

Men’s Breakfast: The men of SOV will meet for breakfast on the Wednesday’s of February 1st, 15th,
and 29th at The Egg & I; 6:45 a.m. It is located at the corner
of First Street and Patterson Road . Come fellowship with other SOV men!
Ladies' Breakfast: The women of SOV will meet for food, fellowship,
and fun each Thursday morning at 8:30 at The Village Inn on Horizon Drive.
