We are seeking an Office Administrator to help us fulfill this mission statement.

 

 

In collaboration with the pastor, the office administrator is responsible for the day-to-day office operations and communication tasks of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church.

 

Successful candidates will have:

 

  • Educational background requires High School diploma or equivalent
     

  • Ability to read and write  English and apply those skills in, editing and proofreading
     

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and organizational abilities
     

  • Proficient typing and keyboarding
     

  • Computer literacy
     

  • Comfort and ease with digital interfaces and self teaching / learning new interfaces
     

  • Proficiency with commonly used web-based applications & software.
     

  • Knowledge of web domain, c-panel, mx records, SMTP settings configuration
     

  • Proficiency with Google Apps, Docs, Drive, Google Chrome interface and Chrome extensions
     

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Excel and other related software.
     

  • Knowledge and ability to create complex documents and merge content from a data source into a document built in a different application
     

  • Strong knowledge of social media and social media best practices
     

  • Ability to work effectively with basic graphic design concepts and apply those skills in the workplace.


 

 

Based in Grand Junction, Colorado, this is a part-time position (12 hours per week) that pays $15.50 per hour.

 

Must be available to work Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.
